I've been working on some new ideas that can be used and worn year round and not just when it's cold. My latest idea came to me when I was working on some hairpins (which will be finished soon) and I thought why not make these roses smaller and have them dangle from some earrings. These came out so pretty that I'm planning on making some in other colors which means that you can have pretty blooms everyday.

Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
So I was watching Man vs. Food and he was at Yoder's Restaurant in Sarasota, FL. It made me miss the warm weather and some of the food there. While he was at Yoder's they made peanut butter pie and I thought, hmmm, I could do that.
My sister and I were in the grocery store last night getting some things for dinner and I remembered the chocolate peanut butter pie that I used to get at Wheeler's in Arcadia, actually when Eddie owned it he used to bring over a WHOLE pie. I was telling my sister about the how they made the peanut butter pie on the show and we were conviently in the right aisle so she says that she wants a chocolate crust. That nice Keebler elf happens to make a chocolate crust. Instead of homemade vanilla custard I decided to make this a chocolate pie and got some chocolate pudding. And to make it even easier I got a tub of cool whip, just for the pie, promise.
If you're interested in trying this super easy pie on your own here are the steps.
Put some peanut butter and powdered sugar (I didn't measure but about a cup of peanut butter and one and a half of powdered sugar) in a food processor and pulse until it's a crumbly mixture like wet sand.
Spread some of your crumbly peanut butter in the bottom of your crust (bless those little elves).
Add you chocolate pudding (or vanilla, or ooohh both).
Add some more crumbly peanut butter and then chill for a couple of hours (I know, who wants to wait) or until it firms up.
Top off with the Cool Whip (or the one in the spray bottle, or hey what about ice cream!)
Sprinkle the last of your peanut butter crumbles and dive in!

The Joys of Not Following the Syllabus
So what happens when a college decides to pack so much information on a subject into one semester? They end up creating a syllabus that is completely unrealistic for the professors to follow. This means that when exams get pushed back and pushed back I end up with the dead on my feet kind of week. There hasn't been time for anything except studying for the four, that's right I said four, exams that I've had this week. Needless to say I've been one busy little bee just not as cute as this little guy made by OneStopCrochet.
Actually I should still be studying for the last one that's in the morning but I can't look at tissue slides for a little while. They aren't nearly as pretty as these pompoms from pomtree.

Okay, just one game of Oregon Trail on Facebook and then I'll get my nose back where it belongs, on the grindstone like this one captured by TMage

"Singing in the Rain" Basketweave Bag
The Etsy Hookers Team is about to start voting on the entries for their latest creative challenge. The theme that was choosen was "Singing in the Rain". It took me some time to think about what I wanted to make. My first thought was a raindrop scarf with a cloud on one end and a rainbow on the other. I decided to save that idea for later because spring is coming and I know that I don't want to wait almost a year to wear something that I buy.
Which led me to come up with this cute little cosmetics bag. It's a soft sky blue yarn made in a basketweave pattern that not only makes it pretty but gives structure and strength. To brighten it up even more I added a zipper pull that is a fluffy white cloud with a rainbow.

Under a Cerulean Sky
So I had a little bit of insomnia last night to go along with what I'm hoping isn't the flu (thanks to my sister) and I decided to look around Etsy for one of my favorite colors, BLUE. I found so many different things that I've added to my ever growing wishlist. My absolute favorite find during this search has to be those gorgeous peacock pumps! I don't even care that they would probably become my new pair of "closet" shoes, you know those shoes that you never wear but don't dare get rid of because they are soooooo pretty.
