Fewer UFO's
I actually finished a lot of the UFO's from my basket this weekend. The funny thing is that I don't think I used a crochet hook even once since it was all sewing and jewelry making. Now I'm going to have to restock that project basket.
I might just keep this one for myself! |
I'm not sure which I like better the outside or the inside. |
Victorian Rose Basketweave Purse. |
I just love this matching satin lining. |

Which one would you pick?
I've been thinking about having a giveaway but I can't decide which one of my items to offer. That's where you can help. Which one of these items would you like to receive (or which one of the items in my shop)?

Single Crochet Lesson from Insprink Studio
The first crochet lesson is actually a guest post by Insprink Studio. As the creator of really cute crochet aviator hats and bow headbands (among other cutie patooties) she's provided great tutorial pictures on how to single crochet. I think everyone should definitely go check out her Etsy shop and Facebook Fan Page.
I love all things crafty, but covering an entire table full of paper, stickers, scissors, glue, beads, and brads just isn't wise when you have a 1 year old who wants to put everything in her mouth and a 4 year old who wants to take attack everything with the safety scissors. Crocheting became my outlet to be crafty, without having to worry about my children's safety (except when they tangle each other up with my ball of yarn). I hope you find a way to crochet in your home because you can do it anywhere and at anytime. Well, you can't wash the dishes or clean the house while you crochet, but what the hey.
Today, I'm going to demonstrate (in a photo tutorial), how to do one of the basic stitches: Single Crochet. At the end of this tutorial, I've got a very helpful link to a Youtube video that gives you the "live" version of the same stitch.

Friday Feature! with Buddha Kitty Glass
It's Friday which means it's time for a Feature! This week I'm highlighting Buddha Kitty Glass. Located in the outskirts of Washington D.C. this glass artist has some amazing and unique pieces in her shop.
Each one of these creations is made by hand and completely unique. Buddha Kitty Glass enjoys her craft, "I especially enjoy watching the beautiful transformation of glass once heat is applied to it." Because of this there will never be two that are exactly alike.
For are even more pictures of these beautiful and unique pieces visit her blog. There are truly pieces for everyone, for multiple uses, and for every room in the house.
